For me, this picture clearly shows frustration. He's running his hand through his hair while looking down. This is typically done when the pressure of whatever is on your mind gets to you. I commonly see people when their sitting at the computer look down, rub their face, and sigh, probably from too much homework. The black and white takes away the color from this image contributing to the impression of a lack of happiness. We can only see a hint of his mouth, but it does not appear to be smiling. The image seems pretty one dimensional emotionally portraying just frustration in my mind.
