Photo Journalism

Once a year Ibex holds a sale from Friday to Sunday sometime in the fall. It's always held in a giant tent somewhere in Quechee. Things are marked down often over 50 percent so it draws a number of people. It was held at VINS this year, since its typical location was flooded during Irene. VINS has quite a sizable parking area, but it was full, and there was always traffic flowing in and out. I thought this photo successfully captured the busyness and motion of the scene. Clothing is kind of everywhere and people are constantly moving about picking things up and putting them down. I think part of the appeal of the event is that Ibex was started in Woodstock, so its a local company. Quechee draws a number of tourists eager to take a piece of Vermont home with them.
